This year marks the 17th-Annual Pacific Brewers Cup Homebrew Competition. The competition is hosted on a rotating basis by the Long Beach Homebrewers, Pacific Gravity in Culver City, and The Strand Brewers Club. Judging will be held on September 14, 2013, at TBD. Pacific Brewers Cup 2013 is an AHA sanctioned homebrew competition, and will use the beer style guidelines published by the Beer Judge Certification Program.
LBHB is the host for the Pac Cup this year.
We are a club providing information exchange for both experienced and novice home brewers with a focus on the art and science of brewing in an atmosphere of fellowship.
The club meets at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month, usually at Stein Fillers in Long Beach, CA (562-425-0588). If you are 21 or older you are welcome. Bring a chair and join us.
Pacific Gravity was founded in 1995 and is the premier Los Angeles homebrewing club. We have been recognized as the California Homebrewing Club of the Year in 2011, 2006, 2005, and 2003 by Anchor Brewing, one of the oldest and prestigious breweries in the U.S.
Our membership is comprised of varied and unique individuals, many of whom are homebrewers of the highest caliber, with a multitude of ribbons won in a variety of competitions as evidence of their talent.
While “brewing to style” is certainly one of our goals, there also exists among us an undercurrent of high creativity, with some members experimenting with both familiar and exotic ingredients, and others delving into the distant past to bring to life arcane and nearly-forgotten fermented concoctions.
We meet every 3rd Thursday of the month at the Culver City Homebrewing Supply Store, 4358 1/2 Sepulveda Blvd, at 7pm. Feel free to visit us!
